- Litigation support against a top tier consulting firm in a failed SAP implementation. Critiqued defense expert report, provided counsel case strategy suggestions and questions for the defense expert witness deposition. Case settled out of court 2010.

Critiqued plaintiff expert report, completed defense expert report, assisted other experts prepare for deposition, provided counsel strategy suggestions and questions for the plaintiff witness deposition. - Big 8 consulting firm defense witness in a failed ERP implementation. Testified and cross examined at hearing. Settled out of court 1987.
- Assisted a large state in implementing SAP HR and payroll functionality for 240,000 users in 33 agencies on time.
- Personally led 16 SAP and 8 other ERP systems implementations using package enabled re-engineering methodology for a wide variety of pharmaceutical, technology, service and consumer product companies. Practice awarded SAP America’s Award of Excellence for implementation 5 years in a row. Project results included improvements in sales planning, supply chain management and operations. Often reduced accounting close time 50%, enhanced management reporting and improved internal controls.
- Led seven (7) board of director initiated risk assessments of global complex ERP implementations as large as a 1,400 person SAP effort with a $390+ million budget where a $60+ million project budget savings was recommended. Focused on project risks, estimates to complete and project cost reduction. One of four US Ernst & Young national partners responsible for internal firm SAP implementation audits of work quality, project budget and client satisfaction.
- Planned and led the first SAP Segregation of Duty (SoD) audit conducted by the Office of Inspector General (OIG) for the second largest USA school district with approximately 70,000 users using SAP GRC software. Presented findings and recommendations to CFO, CIO and OIG on internal controls and access to critical transactions and data.
- Led a rapid IT procurement cost reduction assessment for a very large services company with custom systems, complex networks, 1,700 IT employees and a corporate IT budget over $500 million.
- Assisted the implementation and testing of the United States European Command Logistics Command Center in Stuttgart, Germany to manage ultra-high volumes of military sea, air and land wartime material flow which was soon utilized for Operation Desert Storm.
- Developed and led international audit firm staff training on business systems controls and auditing SAP systems and networks in multi-national corporations. Developer and significant contributor to Big 4 audit firm methodologies for systems planning, SAP implementation and large IT project risk assessment.
- Leader or technical reviewer for 12+ ERP software and hardware selection projects.
- Led the Quote to Cash re-engineering project team for a very complex global software company. Identified and planned 10 improvement projects to create significant annual cash flow savings. Improvements postponed a costly Oracle system re-implementation for 3 years.
- Implemented a strategic sourcing tool for the Chief Procurement Officer at the second largest brewer in North America. Utilized SAP Business Warehouse technology to reduce annual spend costs between $10 and $15 million.
- Led the global supply chain and IT assessment for the contractor responsible for rebuilding Iraq. Developed a shared service center strategy in Dubai that included organization, business processes and SAP systems to better manage costs and improve responsiveness in a complex $15 billion business operating in a hostile environment.
- Developed a sales channel and supply chain strategy for a leading Japanese manufacturer of laptop computers losing market share. Advocated direct customer internet sales to significantly reduce channel inventory and the implementation of i2 demand planning/capacity balancing tools to increase fill rate. Results reduced unit costs 20%.
- Developed a cash forecasting and tracking process for a large manufacturer of vitamins and herbal supplements. Designed SKU reduction program to simplify inventory from 15,000 to 8,000 units. Improved account management metrics as well as cash forecasting to reduce credit line borrowing 7%.
- Led the operations strategy development effort for a large international aerospace manufacturer facing a major industry shift. Focused on value chain, supply chain, service and supplier partnering within lean manufacturing production operations. Addressed profit margin challenges and make/buy strategic decisions in the new environment that emphasized spares and airframe subassemblies.
- Managed the re-engineering effort for a $4.5 billion multi-national consumer product company’s order management process. Reduced tasks in this highly seasonal critical function from 180 to 16 greatly reducing errors and cycle time from 5 days to hours. Result was $10 million additional December sales the first year and improved inventory turns.
- Led an enterprise-wide process and systems audit team composed of DCAA and independent experts at the largest American helicopter manufacturer. Evaluated operational and IT controls for US government owned inventory. Demonstrated effective internal controls disproving district attorney’s allegations.
- Conducted over 40 operations/systems assessments to identify process and asset productivity improvements. Benefits included It cost reduction, increased inventory turns, reduced days sales outstanding and more effective internal controls.
- Technology officer for a start up business offering supply chain software and procurement consulting. Led the combination of complex i2 technology and supplier management functionality with consulting services to reduce annual direct and indirect procurement spend costs up to 8%. Responsibilities included setting up and operating a R&D IT data center. Supported new business unit with proof of concept contracts at major European companies.
- Established and grew a leading SAP consulting business from nothing to an 8 state $200 million 250 consultant practice despite intense competition. Project responsibility for up to 500 FTEs in combined client/consultant teams.
- Built a large number of successful high performance multi-discipline teams with a very diverse international work force. Created and led award winning employee education programs to form a common culture. Led practice strategy, hiring, salary administration and personnel management. Achieved the North American SAP practice’s lowest rate of unplanned turnover despite competitor recruiting efforts. Hired, mentored and sponsored 9 successful partner candidates.
- Successfully reorganized, staffed and trained a technology company’s supply chain organization during record shipments. Assisted in the set up of precision computer board assembly in Mexico. Managed a state of the art supply chain/manufacturing control system for a complex international gas turbine manufacturer with 7,000 employees.
